There are hundreds of products for interfacing to a PC or Apple product through a USB port, so a search is in order. As far as the Behringer product is concerned I have no experience with it at all, and don't trust many of their products to begin with. That being said it's a $30 throw away product so why not just buy it and be done.

As always, it all depends of the need and usage, I have one of those for backup sound card, but I rely on the http://www.amazon.com/Peavey-USBP-USB-Audio-Interface/dp/B004A4PSEU Peavey USB Audio Interface, highly recommended, but it all depends.

I've used these for a decade. They are a keeper. Very reliable and much better than the internal sound cards in most PCs.
