Broken PV-3800 amp, repair people near Ohio?
« on: October 19, 2014, 08:52:20 PM »

I've got myself a PV-3800 amp that when you turn it on the fans kick on and the DDT lights stay solid with no signal connected or speakers connected set to stereo and gains all the way down. No PWR light comes on either channel.

When I attach signal and turn the gains up the yellow signal lights work but no green PWR lights and the ddt lights stay solid red on both channels.

No fuse on this thing.

Guessing something inside failed from bad solder to a component.

Anyone know a cheap place to get these repaired? I'm in Cincinnati Ohio. I'm at my wits end and no warranty from peavey. It's going to become a door stop if the options cost too much.

Thanks for any direction.

Another vote for Able.
Upside about Able is they are busy.
Downside is they are busy.

I wouldn't call them cheap but if you want it repaired the right way, they will take care of you.

If you want to send it in to Peavey for repair, here is all the info you need to get that done:
Peavey Factory Repair FAQ

-OR-

You can always take it to a local authorized repair facility. You can find them here:
Peavey Dealer Locator
Be sure to select "Service Center" and plug in the zip code or city, state of interest. It will give you a map, address and telephone numbers of the service centers in your area.

Have fun and good luck!
