Hello, if the goal is to buy a new console so that it would be compatible to the personal monitors, what would that be? The preference would be for ONE connection from the console to the personal monitor controller - and less than $5k!!!

Thanks,

When you say personal monitors, is that wedges, in-ears or something else?

If you use A&H ME-1's and ME-U, it works single wire with most consoles, depending on input card.  40ch as well.

Behringer X32 and Allen & Heath Qu series would probably be your best bet.

Roland has one also, as does Soundcraft (it interfaces with dbx PMC).

+1 on the X32.    If you haven't already bought your IEM, Behringer has a very cost effective wired IEM system....  if wired is acceptable for your application

I run the Roland M480/S4000/M48 system.  Mixer goes to their S4000D power-over-ethernet hub on stage via 1 cat5, the stage snake box plugs into the hub via another cat5, and the 8 M-48 personal mixers go into the hub also.  Done.  I use a crossover adaptor for each device to the hub.

It's a robust, mature system.  Maybe not as fancy as the newer ones.  Has not failed me yet.

Can drive wedges and in ears separately from each personal mixer.

Regards,
JR

A clearer description of what you mean by "personal monitors" would be helpful. IEMs? personal monitor mixers with headphones? Powered Wedges off a Personal mixer? using an mobile app to control there monitor mix?
