I've purchased (2) sets of the threaded type.

The first were by Adam Hall, and were fine except they don't get very tall (24" to 36").

The second were On Stage SS7746 (30" to 54"). I'm very happy with these. They look much better after removing all of the stickers & logo's.

I have a pair of K&M poles. Nice and strong.

The supports for my speakers isn't the first place I look at saving a couple of bucks.
