I recently pulled some stuff out of one of my racks. I know I'm not going to spend money on a new rack I don't need just because you 2 fellas think having the extra space is a waste. Maybe he already had the rack and is trying to make it a little neater looking. :P

At least the EQs don't have smilie faces on them. :)

OK then, back on topic. :) I removed my orange badges. I felt that having splots of orange was distracting, and they get scuffed up easily. I like all-black speakers that just sorta blend into the landscape, until the ooompf of a bunch of SRX728s being driven by IT8Ks hits you. :D

Yeah, I like that, too. :)

We had Sevendust in the other night, Mac was mixing and pleased that we had 6 - 728 per side, doing a reversed box+delay directional array.  He just tickled the peak voltage limiters on the subs and never was into RMS limiting.

I-Tech 8000s for power, soon to be HD12000s.  And before you ask, the 8000s are already spoken for. ;)

Also on that show was an act from Sydney, AU - Monks of Mellonwah.  Very good to work with and great fun to mix.  I hope we see them again.

Ugh, I have enough cash going out for the VerTec lease right now... I can't afford anything else new at the moment. Haha. But, once I DO have the cash, I have a source for 4 brand new in the box 728s I do plan on hitting up.

I did an outdoor thing for a buddy of mine couple of weeks ago. Crap for pay, but meh. 4 ea 725s and 728s. He gets there, and wonders just how much stuff I'd actually brought, cos it was thumping that hard. Then he discovered the front panel lock out on the amps and was pissed that he couldn't play with any of my settings!

Anyways. SRX is easy to make sound good, but the number of crappy deployments we see is pretty crazy.

Back in the day we used to remove all the EAW labels from our cabinets at the sound shop i worked at.  That meant we had lots of Cool plastic EAW labels to play with.

We put them on all kinds of stuff.  My favorite was i put a pair on my Sony 7506 headphones, basically completely covering up the Sony label.  i had more than one visiting BE convinced that i had 'Custom EAW Headphones that came as a bonus when we bought our KF850 rig'.  Funny stuff...

Why does the guy have an external crossover and EQ when there's a DR260? At least in some pictures he isn't running them all one direction...

I would have to assume the graphic is for the monitors on stage.

My money is on the crossover and EQ being analog backups for the DR260, just in case.
