Alright Guys, thank you all so much.
So you're saying I should look at adding more EV's to get louder sound and maintain the level of sound quality (Among a bohemoth of other things)?

What Ivan is saying:  other things being equal, 1 louder source will sound better than 2 sources you hope will "add".  He's also saying that when you mix among brands (and sometimes model lines within a brand), you cannot expect all of it to just work and play well together.  You may get useful summation and you will get destructive summation, the frequencies at which these things occur are not generally *predictable* by casual observation due to having multiple, deployment-dependent variables.

No.

Go back and read the third sentence of Ivans post.  The one where it says, "It is FAR better..."

Now read it again, then forget about using multiple cabinets/side or using "more of the same".  It's a waste of time and money.   The only reason to add multiples is for wider area coverage.  You do not need that.  You need more sound within your width of coverage.

The answer is a pair of higher output cabinets.

The appropriate spec is long term SPL...although standards vary from brand to brand.

"it is far better to use less quality gear than to use a lot of cheap shit.

What's the difference?  ;)

By saying "less quality gear"  Ivan meant less of it, not less or lesser quality.

i.e a small amount of good quality gear instead of a lot of poor quality gear.

"Less quality gear" refers to the quantity of gear.

"Gear of lesser quality" would refer (obviously) to the quality, not the quantity.

I know what Ivan meant, but I guess the wink wasn't noticed.

Some of you are a bit wound up, so I'll avoid the English lesson. :)

Clarifications were posted not for you, but for the OP...who has consistently missed the point of the posts from Ivan and others regarding his proposal to just use more stuff.  In cases like this where someone is having difficulty understanding, humorous asides and tongue in cheek comments often prolong their confusion.
