What site?  Just got the email yesterday.  Anyway, it looks pretty sweet.

I don't remember Chuck. I've been out of work so I'm up at all odd hours and downloaded it one night last week.

As I had figured they would Soundcraft has made huge improvements to the app (And to the board firmware) since the initial release. It would be pretty hard for the nay sayers to shoot down Soundcraft based on the remote app.

So in their corner;

App equal to any.
No firmware problems since the first upgrade.
No problems with stage box being reported.
No firmware upgrade process problems reported.
No board resets during performance.
When reset or turned off board powers on to last power on state.
No fader issues.

I did a gig for Otis Elevator once. Like every job, it had it's ups and downs.

I've been doing it without a mic.

Make sure you load the latest software version first

My board has the latest firmware, but I was testing the ViSi app with a virtual board.  I will be testing it with my actual board after the holiday.  I have a gig Sunday and I don't want to test a new app under fire as long as I also have my Studiolive, which I know will get the job done.

And, you don't have to be a cryptologist to figure out how to use it ;)

Having trouble getting the meter bridge to work.  Updated si 3 firmware, but no go.
The Facebook page is talking about UDP port enabling with mixed results.  So I enabled ports 1-9999.  Soundcraft doesn't specify which specific ports in use, except port 3333.
I am using a Cisco e2500 router.  I am probably not setting up the ports properly, so if anyone has had to do this to get it working, I sure would appreciate the advice.

I'd agree with your list Bob except the app.
The X32 app is much more complete.

The SOundcraft app does NOT support multiple users w/lockout.
If Soundcraft would ad that, I'd buy a 2nd board.
Got to have lockout, preferably an iphone app for it.

The only apps that I know of that do lockout are
The X32 app
The StudioLive App
The Mackie DL1608

(Mackies's mixer lists at $999, so don't give me excuses Soundcraft!  Just deliver multiple user support with lockout.  Thank you)

(and tap tempo would be nice too - even Yamaha's app has that.)

I hadn't looked at that Steve, maybe because I don't have a need.

Solution to getting the meter bridge working was reported on the Facebook page.  Basically set the desk to a fixed IP address, set the router to forward port 3333 with UDP to the IP address of the desk, start visi from scratch.
Bingo, my meters now work.

Thanks for that Jim.

Having a static IP and forwarding sounds like a more robust solution anyway

Having used both, the Soundcraft does miss a few things, access to the effects would be really nice, and being able to control mute groups as well. The X32 app is a lot more flexible, professional looking (IMHO) and easier to get around on. I've used it quite a few times and love it. The. Soundcraft app works but needs some more work to come up to par. I also know that when I first updated the app the meter bridges did not work for some reason, but the last 2 nights I used it, it worked fine, pretty decent range as well.
