I'd go dual PA approach. Have one speaker per side just for vocals the other one per side for instruments. Use the subs on the instrument side. Pan the vocals to the left and go to the vocal set. Instruments to the right to the subs and other tops.
I'd take it one step more and go with Aux Fed Subs but that's just me.

I'd be inclined to agree.

Used to have a pair of those speakers and they are really nice sounding kit.

Myth #5 discusses what's going on with the speaker deployment and why I said what I did.

The "dual PA" has been discussed a fair bit here at PSW, I'd suggest using the search tool provided and look for posts by Bob Leonard and Dick Rees to start with.  They've done this type of setup and have shared their experience and configurations with the forum.
