Ubiquiti help needed
« on: June 25, 2014, 12:48:45 PM »

A friend is having trouble setting up Ubiquiti antennas for better X32 remote linkage.  He's using PC, not Mac if that makes any difference.

Sorry, that's all the info I've got.  He says it will not "adopt" ...

TIA for leads.

What product is he using specifically?

I am running OSX, but it should be the same operation to get them going.

He needs to download Unifi Discover and Unifi.

Launch Unifi Discover make sure it find the device on the network, they are set to DHCP by default. In there you can "Set to Inform" if I recall.

Launch Unifi, the first time you do this it run you through a setup process that lets you setup. You will create a username/ password for the device etc. In that set up process is where you adopt the hardware. Once everything is setup, you will be able to use a web browser to do any further configuration.

It is a lot of work to get it setup the first time and the software is the same for 1 or 100 devices.
