QSC CXD4.3: Number of watts per channel at 8 ohms?

Hello.  I don't know a lot about power amps and am trying to determine the number of watts per channel at 8 ohms that the QSC CXD4.3 has. http://qsc.com/products/Power_Amplifiers/Cxd_Series/CXD4.3/

The specs say:
625 Watts continuous with 4 channels
1250 Watts continuous with 2 channels
2500 Watts continuous with 1 channel

Does this mean it has 625 or 2500 watts per channel at 8 ohms?

Thank you.

It's a 4 channel amplifier that allows one to combine channels to distribute power accordingly.
According to the manual (you read those, right? ;) )

"CXD amplifiers feature Flexible Amplifier Summing Technology (FAST). Depending on the model, 1600, 2500, or 5000 Watts of total power can be distributed across one to four outputs. In addition, the CXD4.3 and CXD4.5, can drive 70V or 100V speaker lines directly from any one or all of the four outputs. This flexibility allows CXD Series amplifiers to drive (for example) two full-range, surface-mounted loudspeakers along with a subwoofer and one 100 V distributed loudspeaker line; or a high-power subwoofer and a bi-amplified full-range loudspeaker; three 70V distributed loudspeaker lines and a subwoofer; or a single very high-power channel to drive monster subwoofers".

Here's the white paper on the technology that enables this:

A very versatile power amplifier!

Read the spec sheet OP. The rating is 625 watts continuous per channel at 2,4, or 8 ohms.

There are power charts that show all of the channel configurations on page 15 of the manual:

Hmmm.  So if i'm understanding all this right, than the power amp has 625 watts per channel at 8 ohms.

If used as a 4ch amp, yes. Used as a 1ch, 2ch, or 3 ch amp the maximum outputs are as shown in the chart.

There are power charts that show all of the channel configurations on page 15 of the manual:

I wonder what the difference is between running in (ABCD) mode is versus running (AB+CD)  At 8 ohms, by bridging the pair of channels, you get more power.  If you switch to (ABC D) you get the same power output on your main, plus an extra 625 available on the 3rd channel.

Pretty interesting and flexible amp. I only wish they would have an ethernet interface instead of USB.
