local repair guy says my crown ce 4000 has water damage.  cannot repair it ,recomends sending to Crown. Crown wants at least $300 to fix it. should I use it for a boat anchor or should I have it fixed?

I liked the CE4000 and I think we still have 5 or 6 around for utility use.  Out of the 16 we owned I think we only had 1 require service.  For $300 I'd get it fixed, but if it's much more I'd replace it.

It only has a 40 hp tohatsu outboard and I dont race it. 50 mph is fast enough for me.If your stupid you can blow over at 25.   Roy
