X32 turning off and on.
« on: May 06, 2014, 08:06:43 AM »

At our church we have a Behringer x32. It is a great desk and we really enjoy it. Last week I update the firmware to 2.04 and we have had some issues. First it has shut itself  down then turn itself back on all in about 10 seconds. It has done this a few times. Second is it is not wanting to connect with our x-edit app on our windows laptop. When u open x-edit and say connect it will start and get to 2% the it will say that it can't due to a corrupt file. We do not have any s-16 or power plays attached.
Thanks
Nathan

Do you have an online UPS feeding clean power to the mixer?  That may cure the mystery power cycling.

It could also be a botched firmware update. I've had other devices exhibit similar behavior because of that, reinstalling the firmware cleared it up most of the time.

1) Do it right
2) Do it over until you do it right

Make sure you have the latest version of X32 Edit from the website.

Guess I messed up and lost half of my post - the answer for the connectivity could be basic IP.  Did you reset the IP addresses after the firmware upgrade which probably reset them to default?
