JK Audio AutoHybrid- Experiences?
« on: April 16, 2014, 03:08:56 PM »

I just saw one of these and was wondering how well they work. I normally use Comrex/Gentner gear for interfacing telephone and audio. Experiences? Opinions?

My order of preference would be:

1 - Telos One
2 - JK Innkeeper
3 - Gentner/Comrex

I do not like the Gentner user interface. Telos has the best controls, JK is very reliable.

John,

I haven't used that hybrid model from JK, but i regularly use the TelosONE and Comrex units.

I know that the Comrex units' outputs do not tolerate phantom power at all...as in it fries them.  I like the TelosONE units very much and much prefer them to the Comrex units.

Also, as a general rule, I shy away from gear with "auto" in the product name.  Automixers are the only real exception to this, with the occasional use of "auto" for dynamics processors I don't need to tweak.
