Sound guy branding
« on: April 07, 2014, 02:56:48 PM »

Found on a CL post from a local sound guy:  "If I can't make you sound good, it's because you suck". While it may be true, it's probably not the hearts and minds marketing approach.

When people say "you make them sound good", I tell them "thanks but I just make them louder"

Mine is simple: " truly professional sound support services ". It speaks for itself....... My simple advise is to not try and play god with sound. Let the equipment do the work and get the sound right at the source. If you don't like what your getting, change things till you do like it.

It seems that branding a sound guy is cruel and unusual punishment, while some probably deserve it. :-)

I started as a DJ, and "We Bring The Party To You." Now, I'm sorta a bit more like "We deliver results, not excuses." I do agree that any "Tag line" that would infer that if the sound doesn't sound good solely because the "talent" sucks and it's their fault, well, that's pretty snide in my mind!

Of course, when you consider the source of the quote..................     I am not certain I would head to Craigslist if I needed to hire a sound system for a major event.
