since expression II

On the si expression I was going to take the effects off a channel when I did it cuts the channel off. The channel will not work without the effects on. Any ideas what I'm not doing.

Make sure when the trouble channel is selected, it is routed to the "LR" or "Mono" bus via button selection under panning and delay control just to the left of the touch screen.
