Gemini DRP-1 File Transfer
« on: February 25, 2014, 01:22:30 PM »

Hello,

I installed a Gemini DRP-1 in the sound booth for backup/redundancy recordings of our sermons.  I would like to be able to access and archive the files remotely via the web.  I have looked at the WD My Cloud NAS for this task as it allows external USB storage devices to be connected (Gemini DRP-1?) and it has up to 4TB of storage for archiving the files.  It is all accessed by an ethernet connection over the internet.

My questions:
Do computers recognize the DRP-1 as a memory device?  Does the USB or SD card show up as the connected device?

Has anyone used a WD My Cloud?  Could it work as a seamless sermon backup with DRP-1?

Link for the WD My Cloud:

Thanks,
Bart
