Using PAR56 and LED's together
« on: February 14, 2014, 10:17:07 AM »

I'm going to be purchasing (or for the time being renting) some PAR56 cans for shows this year.  Love my LED's (Blizzard Fab5) but the colors aren't exactly perfect for front lighting, so I'd like to do all 16 of them in the rear, and use PAR56's in the front to light the bands.  I just don't know if I should add some color gels to the front and match them up with the colors in the LED's as well.  Any ideas?

I'd definitely recommend dropping some light color of some sort in all your halogen lights.  It all depends on what you think looks best, though I find myself going to light blues, ambers, and lavenders for facial lighting with deeper color washes on the stage as needed/desired.  I can look up the Rosco gel numbers I use if you're interested, but otherwise just experiment and see what you like!
