... I absolutely love working with tracks when done right and heard through a quality sound system. All that extra money goes right into my own pocket, and not one bad word ever from the audience....

If only you could pocket union wages for the entire orchestra...

In the late 70s or early 80s, I saw James Taylor accompany a reel-to-reel, that was sitting on a chair in the middle of the stage!    :D
I remember in the mid 70s when people started suing promoters because of the use of tracks during a concert.

They started putting a statement on tickets that said "Portions of tonights show may include prerecorded material".

WOW how times have changed.

And on the Grammy they had a foot ball half time show for the musicians.   Sponsored by Pepsi.
