OR if the gear is going into a rack, make up a plate with Speakons and pigtails. Neater package and really decreases the chances of issues.

This would be the preferred solution... :)

The banana plug is the best of these ideas.  Why?  Because someone, sometime, will grab the NL4 cable and ignore whatever label is on it and use it for a different speaker, or they will run it backwards.  Much time will be spent trouble shooting.  With the MDP connector it will stand out because there is nothing else remotely like it in your kit.

I would agree with you but I am the only one that will be connecting everything and I would label it. It's not for a band. Thanks for the suggestion though! I just ordered a speakon end so I can rewire one of my cables because the end of the one I have now doesn't come apart very well.

I think you should use copper wires instead of yellow lines....  (sorry, I couldn't resist)
I like yellow lines better,less resistance,better damping factor. ;)

With the gold prices being 1249.00 per oz, I hope your yellow lines are worth the cost.  What would be the weight and cost of a 12 gauge gold speaker cable at 25 ft?

Ask Monster. That seems to be how they price their cables  ;D ;D

Except banana plugs aren't very reliable. If not using the Speakon, I'm an advocate of spade connectors on the amp terminals. You can make the connection nice and tight with standard nut driver and not worry about the bananas wearing out or falling out and then having someone reconnect them with the polarity reversed.
