I was thinking maybe BASSBALLS.

In all seriousness, I think something like Lee InfraAcoustics would have been a far better choice. Or even just InfraAcoustics. Something implies serious low end but doesn't sound cheesy.

" Lee BelowAcoustics"?

Sounds cheesy as BassMaxx or BassBoss to me  :).

HAHAHAHA!! I like that!!

Good name or bad, I don't know about you guys but I buy a product based on it's performance, value and maker's support, not the name.

It's still really good stuff-I just got a SSP215 in Miami and it's pretty bad-ass.

I do too, but if the name happens to be routered into the side of the cabinet in 6" letters it becomes a factor.

AHH, I understand. As most of the line is made to order, I'm sure that can be opted out.

The real problem for most of us is trying to advance this PA on a rider.

"what kind of PA is it?"

"Bassmaxx"

"Got anything else?"

"Trust me, it's really good"

"(Sigh), Yeah, I'm sure it is but we are going to look for the JBL that is on our rider. Thanks"

Cheesy name. Might as well just name the company "Low End Sound Systems".

"Thank you for buying LESS."

Brand management matters, more to people unfamiliar with the product than those who know it.

All else equal why forfeit any possible advantage, or create any uncertainty needlessly?

Of course the name is only part of it, but in the absence of the full story people made judgements based on names alone.
