Why?

Long story short, years ago, another company starting using similar name just before David starting using BASSMAXX. It was agreed that the name change was the easiest & best route to take.

And there can only be but one boss, right?

Sorry, but these names are not helping him sell what is otherwise a great product....

I have to agree. It makes it sound like cheap DJ gear though it's not the truth.
