I just bought 3 lasers.  The website description recommends for use on ceiling, walls and dance floors.  The manual rates the laser as 3R and states that it is illegal and dangerous to project on people.  Aren't people supposed to be on dance floors?  Every laser product this well know company makes is 3R.  It is hard to believe that there aren't 1000's upon 1000's of this and similar units installed over dance floors in clubs and venues all over the country.  Something does not seem kosher here.

Sadly, unsafe laser shows are becoming much more common, as enforcement against illegal shows is pretty lax.  As a general rule, it's best to NOT scan the laser beams into a crowd.  With moderately powered lasers, the risk of injury is small, but it still does exist.  That, and bright beams into the eyes are just annoying.

You can always tell who the true artists are when working with lasers, vs the guys that just bought some stuff and plugged it in with no clue about what they're doing.
