Just for kicks I did some figuring on Google Maps...

Corpus Christi(Jamin) -> Midland(Milt) = about 6 hours and 400+ miles
Tyler(Me) -> Midland = about 6 hours and 400+ miles
Tyler -> Corpus Christi = about 6 hours and 400+ miles

Conclusion: Texas is huge.... I went to South Padre Island a couple of years ago and that's a 12+ hour drive from Tyler, all in Texas.

It's a 2.5 hour commute for me each weekend to get to my bus call (College Station to New Braunfels). And I'm glad to have it!

When I did all my production gigs solo I was driving 35-40 thousand miles a year. All in Texas! Pretty much I was doing the job of a short haul trucker, AND a production guy on top of that.

That's rough, I bet it got old really fast. There's definitely enough road here to rack some miles up. :-)
