Weather...
« on: December 04, 2013, 02:29:03 PM »

So it's 84° here in East Texas today...  and come Friday night it's forecasted to be 27° with a chance of sleet/snow. Not to mention that it's already been down below freezing some already. I just wish it would make up its mind; not that I wish to live farther North where it's truly cold already. :-)

It's already dropped about 15 degree today here in Tulsa. We're going to be covered in ice and sleet and snow by Friday morning with a high of 22-ish. And another round Saturday through Monday.

But, I don't think this will shape up to be quite the Snowmagheddon/Snowpoccalypse of 2013. We need a solid 12 or m ore inches of snow to qualify for that.

:o Yeah - showed up at my regular gig in t-shirt and shorts.  Other folks  were wearing full length coats, hats, scarves and gloves, with a heavy sweater underneath.  Around here, the weather never makes up its mind (what you want from DC?)

It's in the teens here behind the Zion Curtain, uh, I mean Utah.  Hate it, though the skiers are happy with the snowfall.

Just got a notification on my phone about an ice warning for Thursday night into Friday... And it's 78° outside right now,  pretty typical for this time of year around here though. I definitely don't envy those of you who are already dealing with weather in the teens. Not to mention that no one around here can drive in the ice/snow.

Hey Tommy I know how you feel. I'm down here in Corpus.

Funny, it's in the upper 80's and I have my truck in the shop getting the heater fixed.  :o

I remember a gig just outside DC (in April I think)back in the mid 80s in which I was working out in the driveway at the warehouse in the afternoon-sun shining kinda warm.

During the gig that night it started snowing HUGE flakes-something liek silver dollar size.

On the ride home in driving snow it stared to lightning.  I saw all sorts of colors in the sky-red-green-blue-white (all a pastel type-not brilliant).

I could not get home as the snow got so deep the truck would not push through.  So I walked the last mile or so.  When I woke up-it was all gone and warm again.

About right for DC-------------------
