It's no secret here that I wouldn't want any analog console in most situations, but here's a good one for sale although it may still be over your budget, and a bear to move around.

Off topic (mostly):

Chip Self (Logic Systems, STL) found an XL-4 recently in a church and bought it for extra cheap. It's been serviced and is ready to go.  I know he kept his A outboard rack full of Lexicon 480/PCM, plus all the great comps-n-gates.

Of course it's a hobby type thing, mostly for him, but I expect it can be rented as well. 

Not sure how he addressed the TT insert situation but he says it is sorted.   This is obviously a different situation than a nice clean 4K.

When we arrive, if there is either a YAMAHA or DIGITAL CONSOLE of any manufacure located on front of house island, I will chop it into a hundred pieces, and each of those pieces I will chop into a hundred pieces... so that's like, er... tenty hundred? Anyway, then I will douse them in petrol and burn them. In accordance with local and national guidelines on the burning of bits of shit mixer, of course.
