Carvin TRX Subs
« on: July 27, 2014, 08:57:05 PM »

Soo I've been told that Carvin  is  a lot better than what they used to be.  Since then, I've  been looking at the Carvin TRx2218b 3200W Subwoofers package (http://www.carvinguitars.com/products/TRXSUB3).  Does anyone have anything to say about Carvin?  Has anyone ever used the Carvin TRx2218b 3200W Subwoofers?  Any feedback would help!

I don't have any experience with the model you mentioned but i do own one of these systems and we have found it to work really good for some applications.  The subs perform similar to other good quality 18" front loaded powered subs.  I would much prefer to have a second sub per side but i can still get a lot done with this system.

I also own 18 TCS AUDIO subs.  TCS is a subsidiary of Carvin Corporation.  My TCS subs are awesome.  Never a failure, sound great, go low, get loud.  We have used my subs on almost every EDM DJ you could imagine with great results.  Plus lots of hip hop and pop artists that you have heard of and metal bands that I grew up listening to.  Everyone loves them.  We used them for one of the largest festivals in southern California for the second stage.  16 of them for 12,000 people with a huge EDM DJ was a non issue and we had plenty of headroom to spare.

I have the TRC600 system which runs the TRX2118 subs and running 2single 18s a side gives decent solid sub, and I have run them hard with no failure. Built very well with a nice finish.

If you try these please post your experience with them, I'm considering these or the Carvin Trx3218 there just isn't much info about them on the net.
