Wenger Portastage
« on: November 22, 2015, 08:41:31 PM »

Looking at four 4x8 sections, and one of the dedicated carts that can hold eight sections total.  My question is will that all fit in a standard 8' pickup truck bed with a cap?

Seller is doubtful, as the cart apparently doesn't break down.

Thanks for any help.

Best regards,

John

I don't find a listing on Wenger's site for Portastage, but the quick answer is "no" unless your truck has a taller than usual cap and you have a way of putting ~500 lbs in the back.  Most of Wenger's 4x8 decks weight just a bit over 100 lbs. and the cart weighs at least another 100 lbs.

Best option would be to rent a trailer or truck. I tried it...  once.

We use Wenger Versalite & can easily fit 10 pieces of 4x8 in a Chevy Express cargo van.
