I have bought and sold several pro1 consoles. They currently have firmware issues you must be aware of. Jumping scenes on it's own is a big issue right now. Also keep in mind that it is the evil step child of the series. Most middle level BE's will not take a Pro2 or Pro2c at this point and Im positive they will not take a Pro1 in most cases. I personally have a love / hate relationship with this desk. It just doesn't fit my style so I have decided to wait it out until they change the features I don't like. Although it does sound amazing and you can't beat it for the money.Just my 2 cents....
Rider desks are typically things like Profiles, XL8, Pro9, SD10, PM5D. While the B level acts still list these desks, in my market they will often accept things like the Pro 2, SC48, SD9, but not a Pro1.
Ok...so after using my trust Soundcraft K2 24-8 console for about 10 years now....I'm considering a digital console.99% of the show I do are less than 24 channels...but some small national riders I'm seeing now are getting towards 32 and would like to be able to accommodate them and a bit more if need be.Lots of new digital consoles out there !#1....I don't want to buy full featured 1/2 quality crap. Would like to buy a good console and make it the one that I can use for the NEXT 10 years. The Soundcraft Vi1 is abit pricey at over 20K$$10k range is doable Midas PRO-1 seems like a nice choice. Tour pack ready to roll...can use my existing 24x8 snake for now till I get a digital stage box.Anyone own one of these and can comment on their experience with it.Thanks !
