Back in school-I had a textbook that actually gave a detailed procedure about how to make a fist-and how to hit the side of a piece of gear to get it working. Yes seriously!!!!!!!!!!!
I still do that all the time-even did it twice today on a piece of test gear that has an issue. Works every time-until I turn it off. A good "rap" gets it working every time. Been that way for months.
Maybe I need to dig into it and see what I can find---------------------------
My 5 disc CD changer requires striking both sides simultaneously to get it to function.
One TCE Triple C out of my four will only work turned upside down, and then only occasionally.
The native audio on my Dell laptop will sometimes require the level boosted to the max to get both channels going. If that doesn't work, it has to be slapped just right, but the spot seems to migrate.
Recently, my Craftsman cordless drill has started being intermittent. I'm tired of beating on it, so I'm looking for a new one. Any faves out there?
