I've been involved with gigs like that. It is real easy to start to place blame on all sorts of things.
Very often the REAL issue is not what it would appear to "the common person" who was there and actually witnessed the event-believe it or not.
I was the provider at such a "nightmare". To everybody in the audience it looked as if i "did not have my s%@# together".
In reality it all was caused by an out of tune rental Yamaha CP70 and nobody to tune it-causing everything to run about 8 hours late.
The real story is much longer-but I don't feel like writing it.
I ended up losing a house gig because of something that looked like my issue-when in reality my side of things was fine-but others made it look like my fault
