It's pro gear - it's a little bit more involved than a wall-wart PSU, a chip, and some software.

the PSM200 works really well in my world, costs $500. The cost goes up quickly with the upper end gear that doesn't sell as much quantity. Folks at that level can afford it. When you are selling out 15,000 seat arenas with $150 tickets, you pretty much can afford anything. When you are a club band getting $600 a night for everyone including sound, well, you can't afford that level gear!

but you can probably eek out 900 or so for the PSM900 rig [yes, used on ebay, but it's doable].  which is VERY close to the performance of the PSM1000.  and is about 57 lightyears better than the [MONO!] PSM200....

shure makes you pay to step up to stereo! It's a big jump! They discontinued the PSM400

Well, i would argue that Mono IEMs are pretty much worthless.  But i digress.  Your point is well made.  Shure no longer sells anything between the PSM200 and the PSM900.  That real estate is fairly well covered by Audio-Technica, MiPro, and others.  But honestly, i think the smart money for Value RF IEMs is in used Sennheisers.  Excellent quality.  Decent Price.

For our band at church, i just bought a bunch of Sennheiser G2 stuff in excellent condition for about 400 a mix and i've been very happy with them.  I personally use the PSM900, but if i had to use the Sennheisers i wouldn't complain too much....
