The cupboards are moderate in size. We managed to house an entire 5 piece drum kit inside.
Currently in our setup there are a pair of speakers mounted on the wall, by either side of the stage. When installing them, the condition was that we cannot question about their use and agree that anyone using the hall, can use them.
One week, we noticed that the wiring on those were cut & not even reconnected. We didn't lodge a complaint as that was what we agreed to and we knew the risks. So, to avoid any trouble, we're willing to keep those where they are, and make sure that our new stuff is safe under lock and key every week.

Its not that we don't want to have a cooperation with other groups, its just that we prefer to be safe than sorry.

suggestion:   2 K-12 speakers  2 k-sub subwoofers (most people will yammer about having and 18" something but the k-subs ar 77lbs and have wheels)

The K-subs come with poles.  place the k-12's on them.

Some sort of mixer in in a roll around rack.  Bags and covers for the speakers.  mic snake.  Mics and stands, power cables/reels,  you have a pretty good portable rig that fits in a SUV.

With the odds and ends probably about  $7,000 give or take.

^^^^ this...   we had a similar system at our old building. Similar sized room, maybe 3000 sq ft.  Mixer was a Peavey 24FX and GEQ similar to the one Dick posted...  sounded pretty good.  We moved that system to our kids ministry room in the new building.
