Good robust SD card player recommendations ?
« on: February 07, 2013, 07:50:27 PM »

I need a good robust sd/usb stereo mp3 (though preferably wav) player that starts automatically playing when you turn the power on for a sound installation in a church - any suggestions ?

Nothing ?

The first that came to mind was http://www.alcorn.com/ but they use CF cards (maybe you don't care)
next up would be http://www.gilderfluke.com/ Cheaper and way smaller but different features..

We have been using Marantz PMD560/570/580 for years without issues, started using the Denon DN-F650R last year as well. All good units the Denon supports play on power up.

I've had great results with Gilderfluke.
