OK, here's Ned's guide to spend Bob's money:

6G15 Fender Reverb - let's say $600 used

Voodoo Lab Amp Selector - nothing more fun than running FOUR of Bob's amps on at the same time...
http://voodoolab.com/ampselector.htm - $230

NOS RCA 6V6GTY, Military spec, matched Pair, $165
https://www.kcanostubes.com/content/nos-rca-6v6gty-black-plates-matched-pair

$5 left.

Speaking of spending money, here's a shop near me I'm afraid to ever get close to -- some of their stuff looks like they raided the corporate PR photographs from the archives...

I bought a 5080 6 months ago Tom. I also have a 3080. do you have any expansion modules?
My 5080 apparently has the JV-80-08 Keys of the '60s & '70's, JV-80-1 Pop, and JV-80-15 SFX.  I think I have a Techno board laying around here, maybe in my XP-80. I know that's your kind of thing.

My 5080 also has 128MB of RAM in it.

I have 3 of those modules already Tom.

Ned,
No to the reverb, maybe to the switch, no to the tubes, and kill me to the guitar shop.

I did find a 66 dual Showman with cabinet for 1K locally. Hmmmmmm....

Wait till the x32 Rack comes out and put the money together with what I could get selling my bands analog board and buy the x32. I imagine I could mix pretty good with my iPad + my laptop. Later I'd get the biggest touch screen desktop I could find and mix with that.

Or.... I could get a larger, nicer analog board(used) , some more rack gear(4chs of gates, another effects processor, and several channels of geq), and a bigger snake.

For ease of setup option 1 for ease and enjoyment of mixing option 2. ;-)

A $1000 windfall burning a hole in your pocket to spend on yourself.

If you're a guitar player would you spend it on guitar stuff, or sound equipment. And what would you buy?

I'm not a "prepper" or anything, but if I were a guitar player, I might spend it on car/truck parts before the apocalypse hits, especially if my vehicle had over 100,000 miles.  Now's a better time than ever to preemptively/indiscriminately replace parts before they "get" you later on:  engine filter, mass air flow sensor, PCV valve, oxygen sensors (both upstream and downstream), EGR valve, spark plugs & wiring, coil pack, speed sensors (input and output), solenoid pack, transmission rebuild kit, tensioner, serpentine belt, fuel pump, etc, etc.  ;D

2013 Explorer with 8K miles and toasty heated leather seats. Good idea though.

I just browsed some at ebay and for that money you could buy:
Accordian
Banjo
Bagpipes and a
Glockenspiel.
Silly me, I didn't even know that a glockenspiel was a musical instrument, I thought it was the term for people bragging about their handguns.
