I think Bob's Fender affection ends around 1975 or so... this is from the mid-80's or later, and while nice, probably couldn't hold a candle to his Super Reverbs.
True. You can usually pick up these Concert Reverbs for about $5-600 in good shape. Now a plain Concert in brown tolex might be nice. The Concert preceeded the Super and is in effect actually a Super Reverb without reverb. You can usually find those for $8-1200. Not really my cup of tea because they don't have reverb.
I'm thinking I may hold out for....
A. Gibson SG Special
B. Gibson Les Paul Special
C. Set the money aside and build my war chest for a nice digital board not named Presonus or Behringer or LS9.
D. A very nice work box with plenty of drawers.
E. Drink heavily for about a week.
PS - I like Steve Hurts idea but I only run 5 pedals, and besides, he sent me a switch if I ever get around to fixing it.
