This time of the year, I mostly stay indoors.

JR

I'm into my "January wood".  That's the rock-hard, dry as a bone oak. Got a big pot of beans on top of the stove.  Cooking them in my home-made chicken broth with lots of sage and garlic.  Gonna make up a mess of burritos and freeze 'em for later.  They freeze real good on the porch when it's 20 below at night.

It's 48 here In Wichita Falls, which is super cold. I might have to get out my jeans from under the bus. Thank goodness we get back to warmer climes tomorrow and saturday....

What's it like in Beantown at the end of July?  The IATSE Quadrennial Convention is this summer....

Perfect weather, 80, sunny, slight breeze, good beer, and good food.

I did a gig for Otis Elevator once. Like every job, it had it's ups and downs.

Cali? Serious? Don't worry, there's still Feb and March, and those pesky April 1st blizzards, you'll be back for that, right?

It was somewhere in the -20C range (~-4f) here yesterday before the windchill...and it was really windy

typically Feb weather in Toronto hits the -35C (-31F) range w/ windchill...march usually starts to warm up

I know people that still go out in shorts and Tshirts...

Last time I was in Toronto, they had this underground level where you could walk between buildings (bars) completely indoors... Seems like a logical evolution to deal with the winter months.

PS: There's a reason they call them "Bermuda" shorts.....

I'm going to be cathing all of that! Don't feel too bad: The ultra-nasty cold I caught on Monday has made tyhings a lot less enjoyable. Dumped out from the show early yesterday and was in bed from 3:30PM till 7:30 this morning.
