Just another idea.  Wire from the output of your on/off switch to an A/B switch like this one....

Then wire the two outputs to two different inputs on your mixer and you could set them up completely differently. So, not just level, but EQ and effects level as well.  If it were me, this is how I would do it....
This would work although I'd hate to give the soundman (my guitarist) another channel to deal with, but I might give it a try.

Get a phantom power supply, and the Radial Hotshot ABi. Plug the Crown CM311a into the phantom supply, then a XLR WYE cord, and then into the Hotshot ABi.  From Hotshot to mixer input.
That's almost perfect. I am going to give this a try before I get something custom made. My only concern is keeping track when I'm going through input A or input B. It would be nice if the Hotshot had a led light for that but this seems like my best bet. I'm already going through a mic processor with phantom power so I'm good there. Thanks for the idea.
