JBL Mass Confusion
« on: January 31, 2013, 03:53:50 PM »

Newbie and green as they probably come! LOL great to find a forum with a wealth of info. I have "inherited" a mass amount of speakers for our band. basically I have 2 SR4733's, 2 SR4735A's. and 4 SR4718's. I have no clue where to start getting them matched up and powered. BUT, I am wanting to accomplish 2 things with them -10 is to have a setup that only uses the 4733's for very small gigs, 2) use them all for a bigger gig, small outside venue maybe. I'm trying to get things figured out as in what kind of amps to get, and mainly, how many, and I was bi-amping them. anyone have any ideas, suggestions, diagrams!!!!, or drawings??? I also use a DBX Driverack. ANYTHING would be a great deal of help at this point. Thanks!!

Pull the specs from the JBL site. You should run these boxes with 2x the long term power rating. Figure that out and then report back with the amps you have and how you think you might hook them up.

I did a gig for Otis Elevator once. Like every job, it had it's ups and downs.
