Amp Rack and Effects Rack Patch Panels
« on: January 19, 2013, 10:31:49 PM »

Where can I buy these already made. Front End Audio has a youtube vid showing a pre-made panel, any other companies out there doing this?

Thanks

Whirlwind, ProCo, Radial Engineering, Markertek and many others all make custom panels - empty or filled with your choice of connectors.

They will build any type of patch bay or patch panel, pre-wired w/pigtails or connectors as requested.

I had a  couple panels made by vafamsound last summer.  They did very neat and professional work but the male XLR's don't lock well with my Whirlwind snake.  Slight tolerance difference I suspect.  They use generic connectors.

They will use Switchcraft or Neutrik as special order but they don't stock the parts and the owner lead me to believe the cost would be significantly higher.  I was in a hurry and went with the generics.  If I order from them again I'll look into the Neutrik connectors, at least for the males.

I get custom panels from Rapco, and consider them to be pretty reasonably priced.
