Broke off in my hand. I don't believe I was using undue force to reposition at HH mic.

Wow, never seen that happen before. Has it been more than one? It seems like it might have been a bad fit between the insert and moulding.

If it was only one I would not be whining about it here. <g>  I think it was Auric Goldfinger who said: Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times, it's enemy action.

3 broken ones... I'd be calling Audix about this.  Where all 3 clips purchased at the same time? Maybe a bad batch.

I have 2 old (almost full circle style) that have lasted, and 5 or so of the Open style /low profile screw with many shows.

Yep, that is their weak spot. A falling stand will take one out too.

are you referring to the drum clamp, If so I have had them break a bunch on me, but never the actual mic clip.

+1 on the Shure a56d

I think they are about the best thing you can get to mount any mic to a drum.

Thanks! This is exactly what I need. Gotta love Shure products.

I broke one in the same place but it was my fault, I dropped a cable bin on the kick mic stand in the van while unloading.  :(    I haven't broken one on a d-clip yet.

Remedy 1: combine broken AT with broken Audix.
Remedy 2: ordered 4 new clips.
