So how did you like the Noesis 3TX speakers Mike?

Douglas R. Allen

I liked them, doing 2 more gigs with them to fully understand their potential, will write a review. Right now Id tentatively call them mini-QRx212++, love the size, weight, sound and potential of arraying 2 over 3 stacked Growlers a side...

Anyone want to buy a pair of EVs with Tuki covers and a dolly board?

Your not worried about the X32 overheating in that case?  You do know that it has fan on the bottom right??

Main rig per side:
3x SPL TD1 per side

Never heard them, but they look to be the forerunner of the Danley SH50/60/46.  I assume they were tight packed to give wide coverage?  How did they sound?  I had an SH50 for a short time til I sent it back in favor of a pair of new SM80's.

These where designed & built by Tom Danley before left and he started Danley Sound Labs and you could almost say these are "present day SH46".  These do get loud and sound good (think KF850 level); I would love to purchase 4 for myself, but the Horn Drivers are no longer produced and there isn't a replacement.  Yes it was tight packed, the Ballroom is 115’d x 98'w and the crowd was 900 or so people for a seated dinner with a 40'w by 80'l  dance floor.

My load out from hell was the night somebody dumped all the ice from the bar on the steps outside the venue.  And the temperature was well below zero.

I almost didn't have a New Years gig this year, but got a call at 11 am to fill in for an ailing bass player.  It was at a retirement home about an hour's drive away, and the gig started at 1:30!  We did the countdown at 3:15!  8)  I was home by 5, and got changed and went to the party I'd been planning to attend that evening.

There was no PA involved in the afternoon, just a bass amp for the upright, and no pictures.  Sorry.  ;D

GTD

off topic a little, but one of the dumps I work dumps the ice in the "trough" in the men's room. It stays most of the night. Interesting, taking a leak on crushed ice.

Tim, Thanks for posting your pics. I noticed your monitor setup and just wondering how satisfied the performers are with these? To put the monitor mix duties in the hands of the performer really seems like a win win.
