I could have used one of those when I was little.  I used to build a lot of treehouses and forts.

I would never take any new nails from the constructions sites (I felt it was wrong).  HOWEVER all the bent nails on the ground/floor were "open season".  So I would take them and then hammer them back straight.

Same here.  But there was a time when such re-use was pretty much mandatory.  One of the winter activities on the farm was straightening fence staples to be re-used next summer.  I was raised "on the cheap"...........and I had a GREAT tree-house which, in my imagination, was a pirate ship complete with a bed-sheet mainsail right there in a big old elm in the middle of Iowa.

The manual chainsaw looks very useful for cutting down trees at night time, would be a lot quieter.
