12-12-12 concert
« on: December 12, 2012, 10:45:02 PM »

There has always been a lot of talk about awards shows and how good or bad the sound was. Then talk of how well "it depends" on what Chanel or network your watching/listening to. Well tonight drastically proved that for me. With the concert being on many different networks it was amazing to hear the differences between them all. Major difference between all of them. Wow!

On my cable the best audio feed seems to be on EPIX.

I'm so old, when I was doing FOH for Tommy Dorsey, to balance out the horn section I would slide their chairs downstage and upstage to mix!

I watched on NY's PBS 13. The broadcast mix I viewed had lots of missed cues & solos.

All of the artists performed topnotch. Roger Waters was terrific.
