anyone know about these..? Wi Digital
« on: November 14, 2012, 02:46:45 PM »

had someone come up and ask me to get from board into this impossible looking "IEM" he wanted to use. no metering/ monitoring for me to know what I was sending, for example. Range might have been okay, but with little more than "link" to squint at, I threw a wedge up there and hoped for his best.

is this the (new) way of not packing a proper IEM..?

<grumble> you used to be able to tell "Pro" equipment because it has XLR ins and outs.

I've seen these before on other forums... Google search will turn up plenty of comments. IIRC they sound quality is fine but they have a very high latency (something like 18 milliseconds) and I have not paid attention to them after finding that out.

I have a set of those. I wanted to use them to listen to the solo on my wireless sound system but unfortunately they use the 2.4 Mhz band. Soon as I turned them on I lost my wireless connection to the router. I suppose I could use 5 Mhz band for the network but there are a lot of other 2.4 Mhz devices that will probable step on these if near by.
