Hazer/fog machine output on scenesetter console
« on: November 07, 2012, 10:46:17 AM »

The output on this console is a 5 pin DIN connector. I am assuming I can use this output to control my Hazer (Chauvet HZ-1000) except the input on the hazer is 3 pin DMX. I am using a return on my snake for the DMX (lighting) output to the stage and was wondering if I have to run a separate cable for the hazer or is there an adapter available where I can convert the DIN to use a snake return (and free up a couple of DMX channels) as with the DMX control. I've also been eying a remote control for it if the adapter isn't available also. What do you guys think?

Won't work. This output only works with certain ADJ fog machines, and it is not DMX. Chauvet machines will not function with this controller unless you can give up the required channels to run your machine via DMX. I'd look into a Chauvet remote (maybe wireless?) if they make one that will work with this machine.
