I need to make up some amp rack connector panels. These will be a shallow 1U rackmount box which will have a powercon inlet on the front and two powercon outlets on the back to feed amp and processor, along with some XLRs and speakons.
I'm wondering whether to use the new powercon True1 connectors (with the yellow latches). They seem to be a better design compared to the older blue and white powercons.
However, it does also seem that they haven't caught on, probably because everyone has standardised on the older style. They were introduced in Jan 2011 but I am not aware of anything that has them. I don't want to use them if they are going to be a flop.
Any thoughts? Are there any commercial products that have the new powercons?
