I think the M-OneXL is the best in class at ~ $400.00.  I use one of these myself.  It blows away the lower end stuff (2-300) and hangs well with the more expensive stuff for live reverb and delay.

I do like the Lexicon stuff too (MPX500/550), but it is more of an airy reverb while the M-One is more "warm".

If you are thinking more money than that, then the PCM's are incredible.

You can get the TC Reverb 4000 with some system 6k algorithms for less than $1200 now. It seems to be discontinued in the near future.

Between the lexicon MX200/300/400 and the M-One XL, which do you think you'd go with?

Ease of use is a factor here. But I'm more than willing to put effort into getting a good sound if I have to.

It's a no brainer. The TC verbs are much better at this level. If you can find an M2000, or M3000 for a good price snap it up. After that the Lexicon PCMs but the price keeps going up. And do yourself a favor. Stay away from the $150 variety verbs.

Kurzweil Rumour - if you can find one.  Dial up the Mosque preset, get rig of the boom, and take it from there.

I love my TC M-one and my D-two. I own them personally and I wouldn't do it any other way on a budget. I actually got my M-oneXL used (on ebay) for $160 shipped! That's a steal and it's like new!

If you can only get one unit on a budget I'd say the M1 is the way to go. Dual FX engines and is easy to program.

My favorite combo at the moment is the M1/D2 with a PCM91 thrown in.
