Driver for unloaded sub box?
« on: January 12, 2011, 08:00:02 PM »

I've been looking at a few drivers for a box I have. A peavey 1801-8 lt bw I have as a spare does measure ok in the box but I wanted to look at other drivers as well.
Box is 5.6 cubic feet after driver displacement is taken into account. It is tuned to 45hz. A 24 db per octave low cut will be used with 800 watts rms available but rms values around 200 watts will be the most expected.
The 3 drivers I'm looking at.

Cms (uM/N) 129.6
Mms (gm) 122.6

Qes 0.497
Qts 0.473
Xmax (mm) 2.0

All 3 drivers sport the same 500 rms 1000 program 2000 peak rating.
Would one of the 3 above be better suited for the 5.6 cubic foot box?

My old IBM 365 with my win speaker box program has crashed so I can't plug them in right now.

Any ideas?
