I was browing eBay the other day and came across an auction for 'New Shure Professional Drum Microphone Beta52A 56A 57A' ( http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110 633737291&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123).

On reading the auction there is a very large 'Made in China' block of text.

I contacted the seller (an eBay shop) to say that, as far as I knew, Shure did not make Beta series mics in China.

I got an excellent response back, please see below and feel free to palm face!!

'Hello there. Thanks for the message. I understand your concern about the shure product manufactured in china. Original shure is made in mexico, higher labour cost, higher price. On the other hand, my product is made in china, low labour cost and therefore, low retail price. The word "fake" is far too strong. I would class it as high quality replicas. How do we know that all branded products are not replicas. This seller should be reported to Shure ASAP! I'm "shure", they'd love to hear about his product.
