LINE ARRAY TECHNOLOGY
While not a new concept, line arrays have become the norm for modern
generation sound reinforcement. An overview of line array theory and
background will be followed by a technical presentation of the JBL
Professional VerTec product line. Transducer technology and modeling
software will be discussed and several sound design examples presented
to illustrate real world applications. In addition to the presentation,
listening tests will be conducted featuring the JBL VerTec VT4886 VT4883
subcompact system, powered by the recently-introduced Crown VRack.
